Campaign Story

I’m 32 & my husband is 32. We’ve been together for 16 years, married for 7. We meet at the age of 17 & have unfortunately never been pregnant. We Have Been Trying to conceive for over 13 years. I was raised on a small farm in Wyoming. I was home-schooled at 12 due to my learning disability, with my brother as my classmate. I have a great life, and & my best friend is my husband. I try never to beat myself up about the possibility of not having children, but I have my four nieces & 3 nephews that I get to see. We only have a couple of payments on our house left and have two dogs & 2 cats. In my 20s, I struggled to find a good doctor that wasn’t either too full or busy to listen to me. I’ve tried to speak to them about how I can’t get pregnant, and I want to be a mom but only being dismissed & told that your young and you’ll get pregnant naturally. I have found an excellent doctor at 30 she has taken the time to listen, she has helped a ton she diagnosed me with PCOS, my doctor has great hope for me. My husband was born in South Dakota on an airforce base. He and his mom moved to Gillette at age 4, with his single mom raising him. He had a crazy life and is the oldest of the kids. He had to grow up fast. I have been diagnosed with PCOS, the procedure of HSG with results of one florican tube is blocked or never has developed. Still, two-working ovaries & a Salpingectomy surgery, everything came back fine, just removing scar tissue due to PCOS; my doctor says I can get pregnant just fine. I have been referred to a fertility specialist in Montana, becouse the next step is IVF. My fertility specialist is out of state with a 4-hour trip with the cost of a hotel for the night, gas, and medicine. With no way of coming up with this money, only if we saved for years, time is a factor. Our finances are very stretched out, considering that we have had a lot of medical bills due to trying to conceive out of pocket. Our state does not provide infertility insurance, but we have had some thing covered by insurance. We will be full of joy, this will be a blessing for us to be able to start a family. I’ve been very stressed about developing a plan for my IVF. This is the next step in my journey of trying to conceive. Over 13 years of medicine, negative pregnancy tests, ovulation tests, Doctors, and having my husband cheer me up after every negative pregnancy tests. We want to have a baby and any help I would be grateful to have and I would cherish you.
